Club Announcement

North Ferriby United  is delighted to announce that co-owners Steve and Eman Forster have also taken the role of Joint-Chairpersons of the club.

The move highlights both Steve and Eman’s commitment and enthusiasm to the Club moving forward.

In the two years that Steve and Eman have been the owners they have made a significant financial input into the Club. During this time the team has narrowly missed out on automatic promotion to the newly named national League and, of course, won the FA Trophy at Wembley in March of this year.

Inevitably, it is the First Team that attracts the major publicity but the Steve and Eman are equally committed to developing the Youth and community aspect of the Club.

Steve says,
“The main reason my wife and I got involved with North Ferriby United was to promote and secure the football club in the community. Our boys have enjoyed and played through the North Ferriby youth system.

“We come from a very big sporting family and have a strong committment to all sports from grass roots to the top. Consequently, we know how important the role and place of a club like Ferriby is in the life of its local community.”

Eman comments,

“It is vitally important to us that we continue to develop the Youth and Community aspects of the Club. In the coming season, North Ferriby will be fielding around 20 teams, both male and female, ranging from Under-7 to the First Team.

“Steve and I are committed to developing player continuity throughout the Club. It is vital that the younger players develop the skills and belief that will enable them to progress from Junior to first Team level without having to leave the Club.

“The Sports Bar and the 3G pitch provides an opportunity for the village as a whole to use the Club’s facilities for a wide range of events. This is something we wish to encourage.”

Steve and Eman also pay tribute to the leadership that First Team Manager Billy Heath provides. He is a highly respected manager and his enthusiasm for the club is well-known.

The Club needs to become more sustainable and they acknowledge the work that is undertaken by the volunteer management team that works behind the scenes.

Supporters attending this season’s games will notice some structural improvements to the ground. It is hoped that the changes will enhance the match day experience for all those attending Ferriby’s games and that new supporters will be attracted to the Club.
