Gregg Anderson surgery and injury news update

North Ferriby Injury News

Thankfully I have had no long term injuries to deal with at the half way point of the season. We have had a few niggles and overuse injuries which is to be expected especially with the prevalence of fixtures and the nature of semi professional sport; where fatigue from jobs, new babies, heavy pitches and long trips plays a huge part.

Myself and the club do however send best wishes to Gregg Anderson who went under the knife this week to fix his shoulder dislocation problem. This has been an issue for well over a year now and finally Gregg will receive the operation to surgically fix his Bankart lesion. A Bankart lesion occurs when a shoulder dislocates. When the shoulder comes out of joint, the labrum is torn, and making the shoulder more susceptible to future dislocations which is what Gregg been experiencing frequently over the last 18 months. The rehab process with this type of surgical intervention will be lengthly so we are unlikely to see him play again this season, but he will most certainly be made to work hard throughout the process.
